As of 2021, NACAC membership is now available to more people than ever before!

Many professionals join NACAC as part of an institutional membership through their college, university, school, or organization. You may also join as an individual member.

Please see the charts below for information about annual membership dues, benefits, and eligibility

We welcome you to join NACAC's vital community of more than 25,000 college counseling and admission professionals worldwide through one of these membership categories:

  • Institutional Membership — Colleges, universities, secondary schools, community-based organizations, and other organizations join NACAC so their entire staffs are included in membership. Professionals at every rung of the career ladder — from vice presidents of enrollment management to new recruitment staff as well as high school counselors focused on college advancement — receive the benefits of NACAC membership, including resources and tools, community and networking, education and training, and advocacy and leadership.

  • Individual Membership — Professionals at both the secondary and postsecondary levels receive the full array of NACAC benefits as individual members. Independent educational consultants, professionals at community-based organizations, and retired professionals are also eligible for this membership category. Benefits include the ability to vote on bylaws, serve as an Assembly delegate, run for elected office, and receive member rates for NACAC programs, services, and events such as the NACAC National Conference.

  • Associate Membership — This lower-cost associate membership provides access to all NACAC’s digital resources, including the Bulletin member newsletter, Today in College Admission news headlines, and the digital version of The Journal of College Admission. Associate Membership does not include voting privileges or member discounts to NACAC programs and events. Professionals at both the secondary and postsecondary levels are eligible for this category, as are students, nonaffiliated professionals, affiliate staff, and university system and school district staff.
